On November 12, 2018, in the framework of the project for the development of the production of heat exchange equipment, a high-tech unit for spiral finning of pipes (USOT) was launched on the territory of the new plant of ZESKMI LLC, together with South Korean partners from Korea Prom Company
Spiral finning of pipes is performed by radical welding of the tape by continuous seam to the pipe by high-frequency welding with preliminary cleaning of the material being welded. This method allows to obtain high-quality products that meet international standards.
This installation finishes pipes with a diameter from 16 to 114 mm from materials of various types, such as: carbon, alloyed steels, chromium-nickel steels of austenitic class, as well as titanium and aluminum alloys.
The production capacity of the plant is up to 20,000 products of various configurations per year. At this stage, USOT provides the need for products of this type for a project such as TA SPOT (facility: Kudankulam NPP (India))
